As the weather gets warmer and the Winter blues melt away, it's a great time to refresh all the areas in your life that need it. Here are 3 ways to sustainably refresh your, mind, body, and wardrobe!
1. Slow down
Make your mental health a priority this season. Life is moving so quickly and most of us are struggling to keep up.
Start your day doing something for yourself. Taking at least a few minutes for yourself everyday is absolutely necessary for you to do all you do without feeling completely overwhelmed. Journal, listen to music, meditate, read, go for a walk, do some yoga, call a friend.
Here are some favorites in our shop to help!
Drink more water
Consuming enough water is so important for our overall health. We all know we should drink more water but most of us just forget until that late afternoon dehydration headache kicks in.
It may be the oldest sustainability tip in the book, but opting for reusable water bottles over disposable plastic bottles can help you take better care of the Earth and yourself.
Having a reusable bottle may more easily make drinking water more of a habit. You'll eventually get used to bringing it with you everywhere you go instead of relying on overpriced plastic bottles or germ-infested water fountains.
The key to success here is to get yourself a reusable water bottle that you will actually use. Hate room temperature water? Get an insulated bottle! All your hand wash only bottles just end up sitting in the sink? Find one that's dishwasher safe! There are so many options out there to help you find the right reusable water bottle for you.
Increasing your water intake will have you feeling more energized, your skin will be glowing, and you'll be thanking your reusable water bottle!
Refresh your closet
We all know that when you look good, you feel good, so a closet refresh can directly correlate to a boost in confidence.
There are a few ways to dispose of your old clothes responsibly. Give them to friends, donate them, or take them to thrift stores because your old jeans could be somebody's new favorite pair of flares.
Hosting a swap party is a great way to give away some items you're not so crazy about and find some new piece in your friends' reject wardrobe. One woman's trash is another woman's treasure. When shopping for new clothes, invest in quality pieces that can be worn throughout the seasons and last through the years.
We have no shortage of sustainable and ethically made pieces at Ecodessa and we are always here to help you shop! You can even schedule a private shopping appointment and we'll help you construct a wardrobe you love!
